Football remembers

Trees commemorating professional footballers who died in the First World War have been planted in tribute around England and Wales.

Many of the Premier and Football League clubs took part in the Football Remembers campaign to mark the 100th anniversary of the armistice.

Other commemorative touches included bespoke Royal British Legion coins being used for the toss of every Premier League, EFL and FA Cup match during the weekend and two Games of Remembrance last week which saw the British Army and German Army football teams compete.

We will remember them.
